It’s a cold, rainy day in the Big City, and it looks like the rain will continue for awhile. It’s probably a good day to stay in and watch some football, or knit a sweater. With the way my teams have been performing this year, I think I’m going with the sweater thing.
If you decide to get out today, as I and many others have already done, please increase your following distance as you drive, and watch your surroundings carefully. Plus, there is a good bit of standing water on the roads. We had a fairly serious accident this morning when a VW Bug attempted to make a left turn onto Forrest Lake from E. Main and turned in front of an SUV. It looks like both vehicles are probably totaled, but thanks to side curtain air bags, it is looking like the injuries are not life threatening. As we enter into this holiday week (I am referring to Thanksgiving, not the Clemson/Carolina game this coming Saturday) please be patient as you travel. Thanksgiving Eve is historically the heaviest traffic day of the year, as many travel to spend time with family and friends. Please do your best to make it there and back safely.
In South Carolina, there will be a three day holiday celebration: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the Clemson/Carolina game. I choose to only participate in the first one on the list, as I do not care for large crowds. But I do predict a close game this Saturday. I’ll just leave it at that….Share
